KSB provides pumps for flood control in Paraguay

KSB Group has received a contract to deliver 14 massive submersible motor pumps for flood management in Paraguay.

The KSB pumps will equip a number of pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y management de inundaciones” venture. They will be used to stop future flooding in the course of the high-water season along the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The city of Pilar is located 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. xp2i of each axial flow pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump units are anticipated to be delivered by the end of this 12 months.
